Hi all,

As many of you know, I will be stepping down from my role as junior convenor at the club AGM in September. The club is currently searching for a replacement, and while the match day team of convenors is doing a great job, it is important to have someone to pull it together, with behind-the-scenes work in setting up Team App, entering team lists, assisting captains when looking for replacements, and being a point of contact for the ERT. A description of the role is shown below, and will be posted in an upcoming newsletter, as well as advertised at the club itself.

I would like to say that my time as convenor has been thoroughly enjoyable, and I’m so glad I have gotten to know so many wonderful people within the Donvale junior community. Now that my own children have reached adulthood, it’s time to pass on the batten and get on with other aspects of my life.

As I said, the team of match day convenors is very supportive, and with Lisa also there to guide you I’m sure anyone who takes on this role will not feel overwhelmed. If you are interested in the role, please contact myself or talk to one of the match day convenors

Junior Convenor

This person coordinates Donvale’s junior competition teams, juniors social activities and the juniors sub-committee, and will work closely with the club’s coaches. Duties include team selection, team submissions to association, entering match results and arranging match days supervision rosters.

Donvale Tennis Club has a very healthy juniors program with teams playing on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and social activities include pre and post season presentations and social events.
